MV LOTUS Foundation

EndofYear
December is the most giving time of the year!  Your year end donation will help the MV Lotus Foundation
pull through this challenging year and start 2021 with the means to move ahead.
All donors will be invited
to a special tour in summer 2021 if/when we are allowed to be open.
Remember, donations up to $300 may
be deducted from income on 2020 taxes, even if you do not itemize.  Thank you!

The MV LOTUS Foundation has been caring for LOTUS for 13 years now, but 2020 has been one of the most difficult of them all.

We lost our long-time Steward and friend, Dan Helman, whom many of you no doubt met and knew as the face of of the Foundation for many years.  And, of course, like everyone, our Foundation has suffered the loss of our usual sources of support through the pandemic – all our guests, including many of you over the years who have come for tours, events, our delightful summer teas, and overnight lodging.

But while our means of support have all but dried up, our on-going financial obligations have not…paying for moorage for a nearly 100 foot vessel is costly, and all the numerous other costs the come with wooden boats and can’t be delayed or avoided.

We realize that so many of your favorite museums, non-profit organizations, parks and event spaces all need additional help this year.  We know that we are just one of them, but are very grateful if you choose to lend some of your support to us in this difficult time.

 #YearEndDonation

We will continue to keep our “grand old girl” afloat, warm and dry and welcoming you back in person sometime in a happier 2021!

Thank you, on behalf of the all-volunteer crew of the MV LOTUS Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Donations under End of Year Giving are welcome through the end of 2020.
